Photographing the framed intaglios has been a challenge. Because of the shadowbox nature of the framing, there are quite a few shadows that were appearing in the pictures. We then used professional photography full spectrum lighting, which worked beautifully, but the pictures have a slightly warm cast.

The intaglios were photographed against different backgrounds. The reality is that the actual color is somewhere in between; it is almost impossible to capture on film what is seen by the human eye.
